Chocolate Dipped Snowballs

1/4 c butter (1/2 stick)
1 – 10 oz package Jet Puffed marshmallows
5 – c Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds cereal
1 – 7 oz container Bakers Real Dark Semi-sweet Dipping chocolate

Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows, cook
until marshmallows are melted and mixture is well blended. Stirring
constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal. Cool slightly. Shape
into 24 balls with moistened hands. Place on wax paper. Cool

Heat dipping chocolate as per container. Dip top of ball into
chocolate. Place onto wax paper in storage container, chocolate side
UP. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until chocolate is set.

This is MESSY and the balls do not want to stay together at all. You
have to keep stirring the cereal mixture with your hands because the
marshmallow tends to sink to the bottom of the pan and it is what is
needed to make the balls stay together. We also discovered if you dip
the balls directly into the chocolate, part of the ball stays in the
chocolate. We used a tiny spatula and just frosted the chocolate onto
the top of the balls. Much less frustrating. They taste amazing and
are worth all the work.
